31 August 2016 – Gathering prestigious global brands, the renowned HKTDC Hong Kong Optical Fair 2016 will be held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 9-11 November 2016. The 3-day fair will showcase the latest eyewear and optometric products, and various conferences and seminars will also be held to facilitate knowledge exchange.

As Asia’s premier fair for the optical industry, the Hong Kong Optical Fair aims to gather quality exhibitors worldwide, to provide an ideal global sourcing and promotion platform for the industry. Entering its 24th edition, the number of exhibitors has increased to a record high of over 760 coming from around 25 countries and regions. A wide variety of products ranging from different types of eyewear and related accessories, to contact lens and optometric instruments, can all be found in the fair, offering an all-round sourcing platform to buyers. This year, the Gallery will remain at Grand Hall, 3/F of HKCEC, in which over 200 well-known brands will join together to demonstrate product creativity and originality, including CONVERSE (US), David Yurman (US), Evisu (Japan), ic! berlin (Germany), Italia Independent (Italy), Jaeger (UK), L.G.R. (Italy), Luisa Leitao (Hong Kong), Markus-t (Germany), MYKITA (Germany) and STEPPER (Germany). A number of Eyewear Parades will also be held to show the different stylish outlooks of eyewear.
 
Debut of Unique Local Designs
To explore new optical trends in the Hong Kong community, the Hong Kong Eyewear Design Competition encourages local creativity and innovation, adding new insights to the spectacles market every year. With the theme of “uniqueness” this year, the competition has received overwhelming response and successfully attracted more than 100 quality entries. Designs of the finalists will be on display during the fair period, unveiling unique local creativity to international buyers.
 
Market Insights Sharing by Industry Professionals
With the rapidly evolving optical market, gaining the latest market insights is of critical importance to business success. A series of activities are therefore arranged during the fair period to cater to business needs. Highlighted programmes such as The 14th Hong Kong Optometric Conference will welcome experts from Australia, Canada, Hong Kong and the United States to share their insights onAdvancement in Ophthalmic Treatments.
